Nicole DeMotto is the Director of Data-Driven Strategies for Policing Lab. She has over 20 years of experience in crime and intelligence analysis, serving in multiple police departments as a crime analyst, intelligence analyst, supervisor, and manager. Her areas of expertise include spatial crime analysis, incident management analytics, homicide and shooting analysis, and problem-oriented policing. Nicole’s work on alcohol-related disorders was presented at the 2006 and 2007 International Problem-Oriented Policing Conferences, and in 2008 was a finalist for the Herman Goldstein Award in partnership with the Madison Police Department. She was also awarded the Chief’s Award for her role in the Baltimore County Police Department’s Covid-19 Incident Management Team.
